  1. If he's losing weight, he may have worms or another health issue. He should be able to maintain a healthy weight by eating Lucerne pellets and fresh fruit and vegetables. Guinea pigs don't process fats well, so unless you can treat the underlying health issue, you may not be able to bring his weight back up.

  2. Take him to the vet and ask or the petstore :)

  3. dog food

    no jokes

at school they fed the mice dry dog food and they got huge

    hope it helps

    :)

  4. The normal meal for one Guinea Pig is about 2 meals a day.

Increase that bye plussing it by 2= 4 meals a day.

Pellets are good but they don't often digest it as quickly and need Major water.

Sorry that i couldn't suggest any food quality's but i might be from a different country from you, we may not have the same products.

A mix is grate for their diet, it contains a wonderful amount of vitamin C.

Mix (that may contain in it)= carrots, hay, grass, apple (small of each).

You can make it up your self if purferd.

Remember lots of water, since your Guinea Pig is going through alot of meals in process.

    Good Luck!

  5. mostly normal guinea pig food and take it to the vets again so you guinea pig can get healthy and they and give him lots of treats like carrot lettuce green peppers all that stuff they love

  6. Try switching to alfafa pellets and hay for awhile. Then switch one to timothy. then the next one. Give them veggies too. Lots of dark leafy greens, red leaf, endive, watermelon(rind and all), www.guineapigcages.com has a good veggie chart and guinealynx.com can also help you find a more cavy savvy vet. Your vet should have looked for a cause not try to cover the symptom. Any piggy varying in weight considerably needs to be seen by a vet for possible illnesses. If none are present a high calorie diet is needed, alfalfa being the high calorie hay and pellet will help the piggy put on weight.

  7. they like romaine lettuce just give them more than you do now like each pig gets two leafs that got my pig nice and plump

alfalfa hay just keep putting it in the as soon as it gone put more. they love to eat maybe your not feeding it enough.

i would keep the timothy pellets because if they are older they need the nutrients in the timothy based stuff just add the other kinds of hays to it for treats. they have so many type of treats you can feed him. if he like certain ones go for them then just give a little extra to what ever you feed him.

  8. Try "Zupreem" Timothy & Alfalfa hay based pellets, and try feeding them a little bit of yogurt or something, it worked for my little boy!!

  9. rat poison can resolve its problem.

  10. apple wedges, banana slices, buy good quality vitamins for her/him,buy treats for it ,try offering Tiomothy hay, look online and you will find some great recipes for guinea pigs just type in "how to make guinea pig treats".there are some great ideas.i do it all the time for my baby.homemade treats will fatten it up !
