  1. I'm quite partial to baked loin of venison - preferably with vegetables au gratin.

  2. spent 12 years serving food in a burger van..If you care about your customer base then you will offer a selection of good quality ingredients which would make good quality food..Find a local baker who supplies fresh bread daily..white and granary..offer freshly made salad filled rolls with home cooked ham,chicken,turkey..Use the best quality everything..people will remember you..that includes tea and coffee quality..You only get one chance to impress..use it...keep prices reasonable.hot drinks prices low and above all keep your van spotless, your fried food as grease free as possible and a welcoming smile on your face...good luck..

P.S  I now have a 100 seat cafe ..thanks to keen pricing, hard work and a genuine care for the food i served my customers

  3. Giant soft pretzels and nacho cheese, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos . . . think ball park concession.

  4. Baked potatoes with all the fixins

  5. please please do decent veggie food...falafels in pitta breads with salad and sauce is a good idea for example...not just bland generic veggie burgers....just cause we dont eat meat..doesnt mean we have no taste buds!

  6. onion rings, kebabs, chicken nuggets, curry pies, spring rolls!

  7. Defo a bacon sandwich, and maybe something for the girls - some cake??  Also hot dogs - but proper sausages, not those tinned ones, and cans of coke or pepsi. Yum.

    Good luck :o)

  8. I've been toying with the idea of a burger van too. I would like to see more healthy options, I was thinking of salad pots, jacket spuds, rice and pasta. Along with burgers and hotdogs etc..at least people would have a choice.

  9. Nice fresh Samiches. Nothing that was cooked and has to be served hot like Fried chicken, cause after thats been sitting on the truck after a while it becomes disgusting. Try Samiches, salads, even Elotes(corn on the cob served with butter and cheese, sometimes mayo and chilis) would be a great start. And it would hurt to sell fresh fruit.

  10. Please could you serve some decent healthy food? What  is wrong with serving vegetables.

We went to a football match and had to eat from a van or go hungry. We choose to put a cheese burger in the bread roll that was on sale.

It was disgusting, we would have been better going withput.

    How about baked potato?

    Good luck.

  11. I would like to see different options such as burgers/cheeseburgers (real meat please), hot dogs (the good kind), brats, grilled cheese sandwiches,Philly cheesesteak, & deli sandwiches

    And some good sides...

(homemade) Onion rings ,fries, tots, chili and cheese option.

    And good ice cream...

    Shakes, malts, cones, sundaes.......

A kids menu would also be a good idea. Gotta have something for the little ones to eat...

  12. Noodles, with meat or veg. Fast food at its best. Good luck!

  13. rabbit burgers

  14. Nothing is better than a nice mince and gravy pie!

Although I agree with the above, that vegetarian options are really necessary.  I have vegetarian friends who can't ever buy things from the vans, and they really aren't that much of a minority.

I think the most important thing is variety, although of course that depends on your target group.  Where I live and work things like sushi are all the rage, but if you're out in rural areas you would probably be safer just with the normal sandwiches, burgers, sausage rolls, and pies.

Try not to put tomato in everything too.... I hate that stuff with a passion :P

  15. I would like to see different options such as burgers/cheeseburgers, hot dogs, brats, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken breast sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, fish sandwiches, deli sandwiches, etc.

    And some good sides...

Onion rings ,fries, tots, chili and cheese option.

    And good ice cream...

Shakes, malts, cones, sundaes, and make a special shake drink that you are known for. For example: McDonald's-- McFlurry, Wendy's-- Frosty. I love fresh berries so whenever I find a milkshake that has fresh strawberries in it, I can't help but to order it.

A kids menu would also be a good idea.

  16. Those big Yorkshire puddings with different fillings ie. sausage, minced beef, steak & kidney, chicken curry, chilli con carne, to name just a few

  17. just make sure you are clean and the food edible..

  18. Cold refreshments to choose from, nachos, make sure you have chicken not everyone wants beef.

  19. hash cakes?
