Question:

What sort of headboard would match this table?

I desperately want to re-do my bedroom and have found the PERFECT piece to work around: an amazing side table. Of course, I'd get two, one for either side of the bed... but I'm not sure how to match it with a headboard or bed clothes.

The table comes in either white, cream, brown, or celadon.

Also, I want to paint the walls a minty celery green color, or just leave them white.

My carpet is off-white and the trim is very light blonde wood. The house is of Finnish deign, so it has a Scandinavian feel in general. How could I do the rest of it?

Here's the table:

What do you think would work? Thank you!

  1. to keep the focus on the tables (i love them!) and preserve the simple and utilitarian properties of scandinavian design, i would keep the headboard very simple and minimalistic. low height and plain white. this will give you tons of options to add color with the bed covering, window treatments, etc.

  2. A very plain headboard, perhaps with an outline of the nickel studs to match the table.

I think the celadon paint would offer more contrast unless you get the celadon table.  There are so many different shades of white that it's difficult to get them to match.

  3. are you serious? $399 for a side table?? I mean, it's cute and all and I like, but $400???? that's just a waste.

That being said, I would go with the white, and have a headboard with a little bit of a curve at the top, like a camel's hump, and studded along the edge just like table. The white would look really nice and crisp against the green.
