i found a man's wallet under the bed, i took it down to the desk clerk and they mailed it to the address that was on his driver's license!

At first they thought i stole it from another guest!

In a skiing hotel in Bulgaria we had a self contained room with a kitchen and we found the cleaning woman boiling a scraggy chicken who explained it was quite normal to cook in the guests' rooms !!!!!

In Bulgaria you have to go with the flow or they tend to call the police......

The major items I recall leaving behind are a book, a cell phone charger, and my house keys.

The oddest item I have found was under a bed - it was a wooden machette.

Found? Nothing.

Lost? Yes, in the Dublin Holiday Inn in 2001, I had a 1350 pounds digital camera stolen.

Of course 'nobody saw it', but the hotel was very kind and paid up.

In a 'Mariott Residence Inn' in Tintin Falls NJ, the room maid there stole my white gold pen, and again, nobody saw anything....no compensation there. I knew I had just forgotten it, but that evening I returned from the office to find it   N O W H E R E.
