What sort of person do you call to get a broken doorbell fixed?

I'd call my ding-dong fixer husband and he'd likely go to Lowe's and buy a replacement for about $3.00. Theres only two wires in them and you can't mix them up when replacing with a new one.

Don't waste your money.  You can buy a wireless doorbell at home depot for half the price and it usually comes with a front and back door button and up to three bells to place throughout the house and garage.  No screws needed. Has self sticking foam to adhere anywhere.

A 'handyman' service, aka home maintenance business.

You might consider fixing it yourself... all the parts can be bought right off the shelf at your local hardware store, most likely.  Worst case scenario, replace the whole thing with a new one.

You could hire a licensed electrician, but you're going to pay more, and its not necessary in this case.

First make sure if it's a battery operated door bell. If it is all you need to do is put a new battery in it.  I put my door bell

together. It has a 9 volt battery for the inside part that rings and a small battery for the outside part. The instructions says the inside 9 volt should last 2 years. The other much longer. If

it isn't battery operated then find a good handy man.
