What sort of power increase should I expect after I get through my break in period on my scooter?

I have a People 150 and was wondering how much the power will increase after the breakin period because my max speed was about 10 lower then lots of people reported....any suggestions?

When you take it back for your first check up bring this matter  up. Do not listen to those that laugh they have not had a Kymco run them yet.

Power increase will be minor.  Gas consumption will be major: you will see a very happy increase in mileage after the first oil change.  Expect at least 10 - 15% better.  Have fun.

for a start if your running the engine in properly you shouldn't know what the top speed is yet.

If you haven't damaged it, you will get a power increase after your run in service assuming the engine is slightly detuned for this purpose... how much depends on factory run in specs

Next to none, its a 150.

You'll get a little extra power gradually and it will run smoother but dont be expecting anything major like a 50% boost in power.  You will be able to get the 10mph that yours is lacking over broken in scooters.  Your MPG will also improve.
