  1. Who was the toughest opponent he has played against?  How did he get into playing rugby?

Has he got any coaching aspirations after his playing career is over?

  2. Ask about hardships that his team faced during the season. You can also try to find out previous info about the team and build your questions from that.

btw, what team and who are you interviewing?

  3. Ask him what he said in the dressing room to his teammates before the game. And in the half-time. Or after the opposition scored against them. What was the turning point of the game in his opinion?

Ask him how did they prepare for the game. How much did they know of the opposition's strenghts and weaknesses. Did they manage to put their gameplan into action?

How did they celebrate the win? Do they have some traditional way of celebrating? How much beers did he had to pay that night? Has he put the trophy above his bed or is it in the clubhouse?

What he hopes for next season or is he retiring after such great succes? Did he consider going pro? Does he have a girlfriend?
