What sort of questions should I ask on my first meeting with a USAF Recruiter?

I have an appointment with a USAF Recruiter at 4:00 this afternoon, and I was wondering what sort of questions I should be asking. I already made a list of the jobs I would be interested in and I have a couple of questions about the ASVAB I will be asking. Other than that, I can't think of anything to ask. What generally goes on during your first meeting?

  1. ask how those particular jobs are manned, Over manned means harder or near impossible to make promotion and vice versa. what are your goals, if its educational ask him about the educational benefits and the GI Bill.

  2. Does my bum look big in this

  3. The only thing I can say is dont ask but tell him you want to go into the Air Force with a Guaranteed Job!  Dont him/her get you to go in "open" anything.  If you go into for example "open general" you will get the job they want to give you.  Aside from that have him clarify any questions you may have about a certain job.  One last thing I can think of, is ask him about little things at Basic Training (ie. Reporting Statement, The trick to the lock on your footlocker) I know these are little things but can save a lot of heart ache while at Basic Training.  My recruiter told me about these before I left, and it helped out a lot.  Other than that have FUN! and enjoy your time in the Air Force!

  4. How can u go in as a higher rank, gi bill, how is basic, grooming requirements, how fast can u move upin rank, etc.
