Do the police feel that they get in the way...and that that sort of work is best left to the police? Or do they ever work together?

  1. In the 5 years ive been a cop ive never had to deal with one.

  2. That varies quite a bit, and depends on the person, not the position.

Many are retired officers, so there is already familiar with each other before they begin their private practice.

Most in our area are hired for civil purposes only, such as insurance fraud, or divorce spying. Therefore, there is little interaction with the police. They will call occasionally and advise they are doing surveillance in a certain area, in the event someone calls in a suspicious vehicle.

  3. trooper guy said it..........

  4. Most of them are ex police officers and have a very "cosy" relationship with the police.
