Question:

What sort of sleeping bag should i get?

I need a sleeping bag that will compress into a small bag (smaller the better), does not need to be able to withstand freezing conditions just mainly for inside use. My main concern is size. What would you all suggest?

  1. Go to Target and buy one of the cheap little fleece sleeping bags for around $12.

If you want a real sleeping bag, go to the campmor link in Far Cry2's answer and look at the Slumberjack bags. I use one comfortably (Borialis -20) in 24 below zero temperatures and it comes with a compression bag. Oh, and when I was sleeping in 24 below zero temps....I was indoors. (does an authentic teepee count as being indoors? hehe)

  2. I believe there is a 8" by 10" one out there and if I remeber right it is pretty good. You are going to need a light weight sleeping bag so you don't get too hot or cold cause you are indoors.  :)

  3. Hello,

Shop around for any synthetic insulation 40 degree bag and get a nice compression sack (if it doesn't come with one).  Check out the campmor site or REI and get the best deal. Campmor usually lists the packing size. Hope that helps.

  4. Your question makes no sense. If you arbitrarily must have a "sleeping bag" but you won't need one because you're indoors then why not stand up and refuse to do something stupid and follow a stupid rule like a man? Unless you're an astronaut I can't imagine why the size would matter? They make cotton and silk liner bags for sleeping bags that would fit your description, yet, somehow I think you left out some important details in your question. http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Prod...

  5. i would either go with a big agnes or a marmot    they make great bags
