What sort of things did the children go through during the great depression?

  1. my grandpa lived through the great depression. he lived on a farm and said it was really hard. you had to work a ton more and you would sell the vegetables  you grew and other things like that, but he always had enough to eat.

    some other people weren't as lucky. they had to turn their house into a boarding house. children had to give up their rooms and sleep in the attic so guests could have their room.

  4. starvation and any illnesses due to malnutrition depression,loss of childhood due to increased responsibility to bring money into the house or possible having to watch over younger siblings while parents and older siblings work.i would imagine grief due to loss of family members.You should read the book Angela's ashes i know its Irish but tells a story of what poverty does from a child point of view.i hope this country does some changing for the better real soon or we will be in another depression ourself .what is happening now parallels our great depression of our past. good luck with your story.
