What sort of things do you learn about in 8th grade? I'm in advanced classes so...?

I want to get a head start and learn about what we do learn about in 8th grade!

1) Advanced Science

2) Advanced Language Arts

3) Advanced Math (Algebra 1)

4) Social Studies (they don't have Advanced!)

I know it may be different for schools all across america! i live in Kansas if it helps.

8th grade was my favorite year =] I'm a senior in HS now so Idk if things changed..but here's some basics.

Advanced Math (Algebra 1) - PEMDAS, a bunch of word problems, equalities, linear stuff, graphing. It's pretty easy if you follow along with the teacher.

Advanced Language Arts- Uh...just be prepared to read and write essays? I was in this class 4 years ago...so lol...It was really easy though.

Advanced Science- Mmm...IDK. Probably you'll learn the basics of biology and physical science.

Social Studies - I think back in 8th grade we learned about economics (US), the Civil War, the World Wars, other countries...but mainly US.
