What sort of things does a mouse do when it's pregnant?

I'm thinking my mouse is pregnant.

She squeaks when I gently touch her sides, she always cleans herself, she is making a nest, her belly is getting bigger each day, when I take her out of her cage and hold her in my hands, about 1 minute later, she does this little hicup sort of thing and squeaks quitely. She jumps as she does that.

Does anybody know why she does these? Does anybody know what I should do to keep her and her babies healthy? She has a small cage, and she is chewing this small cardboard-box I made her to sleep in. She uses the cardboard for her nest.

by what you say she is pregnant. wat you need to do is leave her alone for awhile.  when she has her babies be sure not to touch them. your mouse will get your sent and think they are not her babies because they smell like you. she will kill them. by about 2 weeks you can touch them. dont mess too much with the mom either. she will get stressed and kill them. hope i  helped!
