  1. do lots of core work. Strengthen the chest, obliques, back, lats, abs and hip flexors. Use the medicine ball a lot and work on flexibility. That should help your golf swing. Also work on the wrists and forearms.

Arm strength doesn't mean anything. I out drive plenty of the guys i play with and their upper body is a lot stronger than mine. My core and big muscles are more fit and flexible so i have better timing as well as strength.

Golf is a finesse game, not a power game. How would these guys above me explain the tiny girls on the LPGA hitting it 280 - 300 yards. I would doubt that any of them could bench over 150lbs if even that.

  2. Why not join Mike Pederson's free newletter and get tips from the most well known golf fitness expert?

  3. work on your hamstrings, that's where all the power is, so do squats, your could have the best bicieps in the world and still hit it 220 if you have weak legs, trust me legs are where its at

  4. Probably Bench press, squats, cleans, dead lift, pull ups, dumbells, curls. Tiger Woods is probably one of the strongest golfers. Many don't know this but he benches somewhere in the high 300's. To help your golf swing you need flexible wrists. Strong forearms, biceps, and triceps. You also need good lower body strength.
