  1. it's not sound that helps me fall asleep.  What helps me fall asleep is the flicker of the lights on a television.

  2. The sound of my partner's regular breathing next to me.  (I have a *terrible* time sleeping when he's away on business!)

Since childhood, the sound of a lawnmower outside or a vacuum cleaner can put me to sleep in about a minute!

  3. I like the sound of rain/distant thunder.  I can't believe nobody else said that yet!

Also the sound of a fan

  4. AIR CONDITIONING

    FAN

    THE WAVES HITTING THE SHOREEE

    SOMETIMES TV

  5. I listen to plays on BBC radio and fall asleep listening to the actors voices.

  6. For some reason the sound of my family talking helps me sleep. Maybe it's because i know someone is there and i like falling asleep with the tv on so i can hear their voices as well...strange.
