I am trying to stay away from one theme like that.  My sister has roosters, and now everyone gives her rooster stuff for absolutely every gift-giving occasion, and she is overwhelmed with them.  Instead, I chose a "decorating theme" of French country.  I only buy what I like and no one else seems to feel like they want to contribute excessive unnecessary and tacky knick-nacks. This way, you can have a couple of chickens, throw in an apple, and maybe a tractor if you have a "country dry-goods store" theme.  Have fun!

Not every room needs a theme.  Kitchens already have a purpose, so just use colors that please you and keep the accessories to a minimum to avoid a cluttered look.

Chickens not a good thing, they will p**p all over everything, loose thier fheathers, and eat alot. Apples would be better than Chickens but will begin to rot and then stinck up your whole house. But John Deere they will last forever and they dont rot, stink, or p**p. So I think if your kitchen is that big I would put a couple of John Deere's in there.    What cha think
