What spcial aspects of the private preschool program whold intrigue families? how do they market of families?

word of mouth is my best advertisement.

I also put a picture in almost every week of what we are doing at school. It costs me $8 a week for that kind of advertisement and most of the parents who call to sign their child up will say "I see your pictures in the paper all the time and it looks like so much fun" - we do have fun but we also learn while we play!

Private schools unless publicly funded in any way do not have to follow the no child left behind act .meaning no tests, still get recess and everything else. this is how i would market to families. there is also a shorter day for children, and possibly  more structured and geared toward kindergarten readiness. it also depends on what kind of private pre k you send them too. there are lots, montessori, waldorf, reggio.
