What speaker is better? jbl or pioneer?

Question

What speaker will be better, meaning louder and more bass, and more clarity? Jbl 6 1/2 inch with 60 watts rms and 180 max, or pioneer 6 1/2 inch with 35 rms and 180 max. The pioneers are 3 way, and the jbls are two way.

listen to me....really listen don't just read i want you to hear me over the words jbl is about 3 times better than pioneer when it comes to car speakers...i actually had both and jbj is louder more wuality and if you get a good pair you might not have to buy speakers ever again...and if u do u'll with jbl again

I would vote for JBL.  from my experience, JBL's speaker has always been more popular in terms of sound quality.  although it's a bit to sharp, but when it was installed in the car, it's not firing directly at you so it actually compensates and made it about right.  i am assuming the speaker you are buying is under 150 a pair, so 2 way, 3 way, doesn't matter at all, it's more marketing than functionality.  

watch out when installing JBL, they are generally deeper than other speakers, make sure you have enought room behind it, and not hitting the window.

Three ways are better than two ways. Three ways give you three levelers of sound range. Louder is not always better. Cause you loose a lot of the low ranges. And most of the real sound is in that area.
