  1. Buy the ones you like the sound of the best.  If you can't listen to them and they are about the same price, then get the ones you like to look at and fits your decor.  

    Forget specifications, as they never measure them in your living room.  Inexpensive speakers have meaningless specs and the expensive ones aren't much better in that respect.  

    As an alternative, don't buy now and save your dough.  Then buy better ones later, preferably on the used market.  That is how I morphed myself into an expensive stereo system!

    The creative speakers seem okay, but I can only recommend what I know from experience.  The logitech speakers are good quality and neither I nor any of the people I have built systems for have had a problem with them. I have owned mine personally for four years with no quality degradation. =]

  3. The Creative is O.K., the Sony is better sounding, and the JBL (Creature) is the best looking -although that's about it.

    In this price range, the best sounding system would be the Logitech.  Here's the link...
