  1. Klipsch has  very good 5.1 packages available. Check their web site.

It will be hard to beat the quality for the same price. I have a set and do not regret buying them.

  2. There are a lot of factors to discuss. Speaker choice is very subjective. What is your price range? How big is the room? What size speakers do you want? There are now 100s of speaker manufacturers out there so I can't speak for them all. If bang for the buck is what you are going for then I'm a big fan of www.svsound.com. I own one of their subwoofers and will soon be upgrading my Klipsch to their brand as well. When evaluating speakers, look at the frequency range and the efficiency. Frequency range will tell you how low and high the speakers will go. Efficiency indicates how well the receiver wattage converts to sound.
