What speakers to buy?????!!!???!!??!?

Ok i have a alpine CDE-9874 head unit right now in my 1997 Ford Escort with stock speakers and i want, need new speakers for it and i was wondering what ones to buy. i'm not just looking for a brand name but any specifics could realy help! i want it loud!!!!

xtreme audio???, did a search and found nothing but an audio shop. Avoid that brand, as no other hits found on the net. What is the fasination with JL Audio? They are not even that good, especially knowing that you can get much better for much less.

Eclipse, I would recomend them any day. Kicker I would not unless talking about the L7, otherwise no.

Look into CDT Audio, they make 5.25", 6.5" and 6X9 sets for various prices. Very good speakers, and very reliable. Also much better than Kicker and JL Audio.

Elemental Designs Audio they make 6.5" components, one set is $95 and 150 watts RMS, the other set is in pre-production and are $185 @ 150 watts RMS as well but with better mid bass responses.

Also look into RE Audio, x*x Comp set, they are the devil.

Not to mention, subs, JL Audio can not touch RE at all !! Point being JL is not the be all end all of anything, better out there for less and more.

You want loud, get in on the pre-production order from Elemental Designs model number is e9.65i. I own the 6500 set which is now discontinued and the e9.65i set has taken their place. Also has a 5 year warranty, great customer service, this company actually cares about their customers, customers come first. The last thing is that the e9.65i set is $185 and pre production.

Go to woofers etc for the CDT products.

Alpine type "r" or type "s" are both great speakers.

for 6.5's i reccommend eclipses for 6x9's i reccommend Kicker
