What speakers would be best for my dorm room?

All I want to do is hook them up to my receiver and then to my laptop so I can play music. they may also be hooked up to my dvd player for movie watching. What do you all think?

Save yourself $200 and get Logitec X530 or 540 5.1 speakers.

I use the 2.1 version the X230 with my PC/ TV and PS3 etc they really sound good with a PC and are only about £29 in the UK.

Yamaha stuff is good but Logitec stuff gives excellent value for money.

The 2.1 set I have is loud enough to deafen you in a small room.

Watching I, Robot on blu-ray at 50% volume is too loud in my room.
