The toy magic fuzzy worm is know as wurli worm, squirmle, wigglee, magic fuzzy etc. You can also teach tricks to it and I heard it moves when you move your fingers near it

There's no special material, and they don't move by themselves. There is a thin string you control them with coming out of their nose.
