It seems like it is apart of Asilidae or apart of Asilioidea. Does anyone know what species it is? I took it in southern ontario.

  1. There called robber flies.

  2. The freaky kind. lol. But the serious thing is take it into some place near you to find out. I always take specimens over to the college by my house and they have been able to tell me about 98% of the time of what it is. A couple of times when they didn't know they kept it and called me later. That is my opinion.
