  1. anything but not the humans. i mean our great ancestors i.e. monkeys and related genera.

  2. those who live underground..

usually, once the big species got extinct, the small species who were constantly hiding would then be able to emerge and evolve into different species depending on the environment in which they were subjected.

my professor said that all the mammals once came from a small mammal living underground, once the dinosaurs got extinct, the small mammals were then able to emerge and spread to different environments thereby making their evolution different from each other.

so.. what would have taken our place? it would be hard to tell... dodo birds

  3. According to the scientists that study evolution, genetics, DNA, and the intelligence of animals, it would, without a doubt, be the Chimpanzees. They are so highly developed, that possibly within another million years they will be as smart as we are.

  4. i hope none

  5. well that would be very hard to speculate in reality

however, there have been studies and theries that if the dinosaurs did not go extinct 65 million years ago, velociraptors would have grown greater intelligence, because they already had verbal communication, teamwork, etc, they would have become the dominant dinosaur

  6. Dolphins are smart, if they had thumbs they would rule the world :)
