  1. the name brand doesn't matter at all. this is what I suggest in terms of getting gloves....

    2 pairs of bag gloves

these are gloves that are used for hitting the heavy bag, focus mits, etc and not for sparing. you should get one large pair at least 16 oz strength and endurance and 1 very small pair like 8-10 oz to work on speed and the accuracy of the punch (turning your fist over all the way)

then 1 third pair of gloves

this should be sparing gloves of the size that you will be fighting with. I believe most amateurs fight w/16 oz gloves but just check with your trainer to find out.

the bag gloves should be ones that do NOT cost you more than $30 and the sparing gloves will be more expensive more like $80 so only get those once you need them

  2. No excat models, srry

    Good Companies:

    Everlast

    Tigear

  3. everlast are good and affordable but i prefer rival

  4. i use everlast now because i am a broke/cheap guy but i have used my friends gloves and came to this conclusion

#1:this goes to cleto reyes never used anything better

#2:grants campeon gloves they are small(kind of) but best protection if you dont have strong knuckles

#3:ringside imf tech glove are great too good protection and reasonable prices

but from what i heard winnings have the best glove but about 150-300 usd for a pair....

  5. cleto reyes

  6. Everlast or Action

  7. IMO, If you're just starting out, go with RINGSIDE.COM or maybe EVERLAST, but if you plan on staying and want top quality in a hand safe glove, go with GRANTBOXING.COM Pay the extra, you won't go wrong.
