  1. Depends on what plane. For a 4 seater private plane, u can land below 100 knots. A fighter jet lands at around 160 knots. A passenger airliner lands at around 180 to 190. The heavier the plane is, the faster the landing speed.

  2. it depends entirely on the plane.  a jumbo jet would be about 150 mph. there are also max. cross winds a plane can land.  there are charts to figure cross wind and head wind.

  3. Anywhere from 1.15Vso to 1.3Vso.  --Or faster.

  4. Which aircraft?

  5. I'm not sure I ever heard this info.  A friend of mine thinks it's about 120 for passenger airline .  Maybe call a county airport in your area for the best info on this

  6. i think in midflight its like 538mph but they bring it down to 125mph

  7. Depends on the plane, A 747 fully loaded as a stall speed of aprox 165 knots and a landing spead of about 180 ish

A cessna might have a landing speed of 65 - 75 knots.  Depends on stall speed.

  8. 140 knots

  9. depends on several factors

    1. type of plane--larger planes=faster landing speed

    2. runway conditions--slippery=slower landing speed

    3. runway length--longer=faster landing speed

    4. winds--varies based on direction and speed.

But in general for a commercial aircraft in good conditions... 120-130 knots

  10. My Aeronca Chief with 85 horsepower lands at around 45 MPH.  A Cherokee 180 lands at about 75 MPH, and a Beechcraft Bonanza at about 80 MPH.

A Boeing 747 fully loaded lands at about 175-180 MPH.
