What spices can you add to bottled spaghetti sauce to make it taste better?

  1. More oragano, onions, basil, italian seasoning.    That should do it!

What I do is start with a jar I like.  Add a can of diced tomatos with the basil garlic oregano mixed in, also a can of tomato sauce and one of paste.  Than I use the McCormick mixed Italian seasonings to taste.  You can add some bay leaves also.  If you like it kind of spicy than use Emerils seasonings...little to spicy for my taste.

    A trick I got from my mother....add about a half pound of pork to this and meatballs if you desire....they are easy just add same italian seasoning as above with a littel salt and pepper to about a pound of ground beef and mush into balls.  Add to sauce about an hour before serving if using the slow cooker.

    You can simmer this on a stove for a while....or my trick let it sit in the slow cooker all day while you do other things.

  4. I put in some basic italian seasoning, chicken, ground beef and sausage. A little shaker parmesan cheese and let it all simmer for a couple of hours.  YUMMY!!!!!
