My daughter & I were outside tonight and the biggest spider I've ever seen was on the porch with us. It was huge. I have a 20 month old son & I need to know what types of spiders are here so I can be on the look out.

  1. All spiders are venomous. That's how they make their living. See   http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/in011

  2. Don't worry about the big spider. It is a specie of tarantula. Won't bother you.

The dangerous spiders are: Black widow and Brown recluse, any spider whose bite you are allergic to. Since you are in a seaport state, any spider that has webbing around its burrow. (Possible Tunnel web spider - deadly).

  4. all of them.

  5. Every last one of them. By nature, spiders are venomous. The only ones that could potentially cause a major problem, however, are black widows and brown recluses... neither of them are huge.
