  1. cbr every time get a 600

  2. The one that you can fit on, feel comfortable with, and enjoy the looks of.  I honestly don't understand why people ask this question.  It's obvious that you're not a stranger to two wheeled vehicles or "fun" vehicles, so I don't think you need to ask this question.  Most people are biased towards a specific brand.

For example, I'd tell you to go for Yamaha, since I'm a fan of them.  Others would tell you that the Hayabusa would blow that out of the water (which it probably would, since it's a super sport bike), but it's impractical on the highway, because by the time you get it into it's real efficiency, it's way past illegal.

Anyways, just go around and see what feels good.  Ask the store some questions.  Do some research online.  Then, if you feel that you HAVE to have some outside opinions, ask then.

  3. kawasaki ZX 1400

  4. Dirt bikes and ATVs are NOTHING like riding a street bike, and other than understanding the shift pattern, you are still starting with ZERO experience.

Sportbikes and physics don't give a d**n how strong, smart, careful, or athletic you are.  They will treat your inexperience the same as everyone else's.

Think of it this way: you want to learn how to juggle, and you have previous experience playing catch with a softball, so now you think that learning to juggle with chainsaws is how you should start.  Be as careful as you want, you are still juggling chainsaws, and without enough experience with lesser things like bean bags and fruit, you should be able to figure out what even a tiny mistake could mean.

The best advice I can give you is to start on an EASY bike, preferably a used one (because you WILL drop it, and dropping a used bike is not nearly as expensive).  Try a used Suzuki SV650 or GS500, or maybe a Ducati 620 if you can find one under $5k.

Get full gear.  Not just a helmet, no T-shirt & shorts EVER, and take an MSF course to get you started.  Dress for the crash, not the ride (trust me on this).  Go out and learn how to ride, not just go fast in a straight line, because wide-*** chicken strips label you a squid instantly.

And no one likes a squid.
