  1. Gander Mountain buys used guns and from I have been told gives a good price

I would find your state's gun forum and list them in the buy/sale/trade section

I sold half of my collection in four hours that way and got the full price I was asking

All deals were face to face so there was no need for shipping or transfer costs

  2. You'd be better off setting up a sellers account on gunbroker.com

Be prepared to take pictures of your guns, you will never get as much money from a gunshop or pawnshop as you will selling them to a private individual.

Gunbroker is a good way to do that, or you could advertise in your local newspaper, or try craigslist.

You will have to ship the rifle to an FFL, and many will not accept shipment from a private individual, you may need to find a local FFL to ship from, it will cost 20 to 30 to ship through an FFL.

  3. Go to a store where hunting and shooting is their thing, not a sporting goods store. Most outdoors shops will buy used guns. Non-franchised and privately owned are your best bet.

  4. Put them up on gunbroker.com

Then edit and lets us know your user id there so we can see what your unloading.

  5. Bass Pro Shop & Cabela's will buy guns, if you have something they want.

IMO, you would get a lot better price by selling them on

  6. you can take them to almost any pawn shop, although i dont recommend it. Your best bet is to sell them at an online auction site such as auctionarms.com; or you can put them in a classified ad. Depeding where you are at, you can rent a booth at a gunshow and sell them as a private party, which doesnt require an FFL transfer. Some gun shops will take them on consignment too. Either way, by choosing one of these methods you'll get a fair price for them. You can research what they're worth online. If you do sell them through an online source, you'll have to get with anFFL dealer to transfer them.
