What sports bike should i go for ?

I'm considering investing in a sports bike. My options were initially limited to the r6 and cbr. I'm 6.1 and 185 so i pbbly won't get blown off, and i'm also a conservative driver. This will be my first bike. what should i go for; one of these two or something more conservative.

If indeed you are a conservative, level-headed rider, I would suggest a mid-90s CBR f2 or f3 to start out on. Solid, unkillable little bikes, with enough gusto to challenge even very experienced riders on the track.  My wife tracks a 1991 cbr 600 and LOVES it. (She rides a 'Busa on the street.)

There are plenty of cheap parts out there for them, and they are very bulletproof.  FOr something a little newer, i would suggest a 2000's Katana. Very comfy, very fun, but a little on the heavy side, but for your size it would be alright. Im riding an '05 right now while I finish my Streetfighter build.

I started out on her old bike, a Ninja 250 with a 500r engine in it. Hella fun bike man!!
