What sports car should I buy?

Question

I am a 23 year old female, working as an IT and I want to buy a sports car under 20,000, that's between 2005 to present. I currently drive a 98, extra cab, Tacoma SR5 with camper shell; so gas is not an issue.

I would like a nice, fast, affordable sports car that will sound really well with flowmaster.

Please vote on the type of car that you consider the best. Keep in mind that in my line of work appareance is everything : )

OK...hmmm appareance is everything...just like me! :D but im only 17 so I dont have anything, hehe.

I would go for something original...something very rare..never seen...how about a...shelby cobra replica? this is only ment for parties, or driving at night without needing to park anywhere. Always has to be in a garage or closed area, because its a roadster... yes these are made today so it passes the 2005+ mark :)

If not...how about a pontiac g8...they sell for about 30k...but you might be veryyy lucky to get a 08' model for a little over your price range...It will sound AMAZING with your flowmasters.

Remember every car is beatiful, but don't forget to get the right color for the paint...and don't over mod it. Just make it look classy.. I don't care about top speed that much...I mostly look at style, color, and noise.

Pontiac Solstice

The 2008 Solstice base model starts at $23,000.  They currently have a $1500 cash back program so a new one may be close to your budget.  However a used one should be within your budget.

I would stay away from Mustangs since mustang drivers are known for being arrogant, poor losers and very insecure (probably because they own a Ford lol) If your looking used, the Mazda Speed 3 is great, very fast (260hp) and attractive. Also the Mini Cooper S is very fashionable and the ladies love it.  If you don't mind something older, but very beautiful and very fast I would get a 95 Dodge Stealth twin turbo.  Its got 320hp, AWD, big brakes, and can get big power from minor modifications.  Its a car you don't see that much on the streets so if you drive a Stealth you will be noticed for having a sweet ride not too many people got.  Its original.

pontiac gto. its got the right engine for the flowmasters (6L V8), it sounds amazing stock as it is, used they are anywhere from 15000 to 30000, you will be very happy.

ok i am only 16 so i don't have much experience with cars but i want to tell you a story. me and my friends were walking out of an athletic club and we saw a 2008 or 2007 yellow pontiac solstice convertible. I fell in love with it. i went home researching it preparing to get heartbroken by the 100,000 dollar price tag but instead found it at like 23,000. i was amazed, i continued with some more research to see why they were so cheap. i found them to be safe, fast, fun, and pretty reliable.

     Another good choice would be the mini cooper. Those are really (i can't believe i am saying this) cute. if i were to choose between the two i would choose the solstice because the mini cooper tends to be a bit pricier in the long run with premium gas and being a mercedes more expensive repairs.

Flowmasters seems to sound best on American cars, more specifically V8's.  The 2007 Mustang GT is going for right about $20k.  If you want a more Luxurious Sports Car check out the Cadillac CTS...great looking car especially w/ the Wood Trim package plus it has 4 doors.  But, I would highly recommend the Lexus IS250 or IS350.  The 2006 IS250 goes for $19-$20k w/ under 50k miles.
