they said it started from maybe the deap fat fryer or something on the news so reckon it was just a accident with the kitchen somewhere maybe an electrical fault

Chief fire officer Kevin Pearson said: "Indications are that there were some deep fat fryers in the area where we believe the fire first started.

"We're fairly clear about where we think the fire first started and obviously our investigations will concentrate on that area."

From the earliest piece of video shown on the local television news program the fire appears to have started in the restaurant on the front right hand corner of the building where they prepare fish and chips etc. and where I had a meal a few days ago.

Its a great shame I hope they can start rebuilding it soon.

they think it was to do with a deep fat fryer left on in one of the takeaways at the top of the pier
