World War2 was started when Japan received wrong coordinates for an air assault. Japan accidently dropped their bombs on Pearl Harbor Base in Hawaii at night when everyone was asleep and unaware.

Japan invaded the Philippines, didn't they? Or was it China they attacked first? Maybe it was Korea.

I think it was the rape of Nanking that really got things going.

Anyway, Japanese aggression started WWII in the Pacific.

Sometime later in 1941 they attacked Pearl Harbor. By then they were pretty well entrenched.
