  1. This must mean football since it's in the football section. This is an easy one, Texas. Nobody cares more about football than Texas does.

  2. Fact is Ohio State put more people in the NFL through the 90's then any other team check the stat its true (FSU 2nd) and considering they are always 95% homegrown I don't see how you can argue.  Not to mention smaller schools within the state like Big Ben out of Miami of Ohio.

  3. Cali for sure. Or texas.  They are pretty hard core down there.

  4. From looking at the Espn top 50 its usually the same states over and over. like

    Texas, Florida, Ohio.California

  5. Texas not the only state that lives and breaths football, allot of states share the same passion for the sport.

The states that seem to produce the athletes for highschool to college is a simple answer, states with the larger population seem to be where

scouts go, not necessarily the most populas state , but a state with tremendous population. This simply translate to more to choose from. This is the very reason you see Rutgers on the rise in college football, they finally found a coach that can convince the states top athletes to stay home and play not alone with more success expand to other states

and land quality athletes. To be a succesfull progam the formula to success is of course get a strong in state base recuiting class, then the ability to pull recruits from other hot spots to fill in the voids. New Jersey use to help Penn St out allot in the past, now Rutgers is starting to keep their in state

prized athletes to play for them. Texas, and the Florida schools like S Florida, Miami, Florida St and Florida and you can throw UCF in the mix is the reason for their success, the ability to keep those recuits in thier home state, allot do exit to other programs, but most arent the states best rated players, but at time this is an exeption ,example Noel Devine departure to WV when Florida and Florida St practically begged him to stay.

The top 6 states that seem to produce highschool athlete's to college

are and not in order but are:

    Texas

    Florida

    California

    Ohio

    Pennsylvania

New York - New Jersey Area

These states seem to get pounded in recruiting not only for local or in state programs but by most programs around the country.

    States of honorable mention are:

    Illinoise

    Michigan

    Georgia

    North Carolina

    Louisianna

    Virginia -Washington -Baltimore area.

So here are you recuiting hot spots of the country...

Your a coach and need to get the good players, lets say you

coach Virginia,of course you fight for the best in your state,

after that you head to Baltimore-Washington DC area then to New York and Pa -New Jersey  area, after that you travel to Georgia, North Carolina, even to Ohio, most likley land recuits that wont travel too far from home but you can land a few , then hit Florida hard for those willing to relocate far from home to get a chance to play. If your recuiting is a success, Your Virginia program should have a Top 25 program. These areas I just told you about have quality highschool progams with tons of athletes to choose from, problem is you also have

    West Virginia,Penn St, Rutgers,Boston College,Virginia Tech,Maryland,Georgia,Georgia Tech,Pittsurgh,Ohio St,

    North Carolina,NC State,East Carolina,S.Carolina,Syracuse

these teams hit this area pretty hard too not to mention Notre

Dame, USC, Michigan ,Oklahoma these programs traditionally recuit nationally and hit these area's hard too.

Not to mention, S.Florida,Florida,Florida St, and Miami hit

these areas too, so you see its tough to build a top 25 progam in College football, you think Virginia has it easy in its own back yard, they don't.

  6. cali

    southern cali to be exact

marcus allen and terrell davis to name a few

    2 Florida

    3 California

    4 Pennsylvania

  13. There is no thought required.  The national talent services will tell you that the greatest depth, numbers and quality of talent comes from the state of Florida.  California and Texas are next, but vie for a very distant second.  The number of recruits to D1 out of Florida is staggering.

No Midwestern states are in the top three, nor have they been since Pennsylvania began sliding to the #4 spot years ago.

  14. Come on now... TEXAS! You know they take high school football VERY seriously down here.

  15. TX

You can talk about Florida speed

You can talk about OH linebackers

You can talk about MI corn fed O-Linemen

but Texas has the most solid H.S. structure to churn out the best all around college-ready players

  16. florida

  17. Texas and then florida, last year and the year before and before Texas produced more D! signees than any other state.

  18. Dunno, Id say Michigan, but only cuz im from there and our school varsity team kicks ***. And its a big thing at my school. But I hear other school's teams in michigan sucks, so idk. For some reason though, Im thinking Texas.

  19. TEXAS

  20. TEXAS and, PENNSYLVANIA!!!

  21. Ohio or California

  22. probably texas because they have so many high schools and people there.. and a lot of the good ones go to OU
