  1. A state in their home nation or country. Driving is not a right, it's a privileges illegal have shown they haven't earned.

  2. apparently there is 8 states which do not require u to prove u are in the USA legally to get a driver license , New Mexico is included as far as i know .

the following are all the states in which undocumented immigrants can get Driver licenses :

Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

How do I apply for a New Mexico driver's license?

If you are a first-time New Mexico licensee age 18 to 24 you will be are required to take the "None for the Road" self-study DWI awareness class. First, a) complete the "None for the Road" course; then b) take your certificate of completion and other required identification (see question #5), to any Motor Vehicle Division Field Office to apply for your license. Note: Individuals who are age 25 or older are not required to take the "None for the Road" course.

What should I take with me to the Motor Vehicle Division Field Office to get a New Mexico driver's license?

You will need to provide one (1) proof of identification number; one (1) proof of identity and two (2) proofs or New Mexico residency. If you are eligible for a Social Security number (SSN) your proof of identification number will be your Social Security card or a verification document from Social Security confirming your SSN. If you are not eligible for a Social Security card, you will be required to provide a valid passport issued by your country of citizenship; a Matricula Consular issued after February 1, 2005 by the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque or El Paso; or an individual tax identification number (ITIN) card or the letter from the IRS issuing your ITIN. A complete list of acceptable identification and residency documents is available on line, in the Publications section of this web site at : http://www.tax.state.nm.us/pubs/chartnmd...

At age 15 you can get the NM learners permit, and after 6 months you can sit the test for the license.

  3. Shouldn't be any state giving licenses to illegals

  4. Chihuahua

  5. New Mexico and Washington. There has been a shift to requiring an verifiable SSN in other states. Utah even states that they will verify your SSN and if false you face arrest for fraud. These 2 are the last holdouts!

  6. Absolutely not in Pennsylvania... Why don't you go home and get a driver's license in your country..

  7. Not Michigan. Here it has become even hard for Non-Immigrant Visa holders, such as H1B, F1 get driver's license. Only get license issued for the duration of I-94, if you are not PR or USC.

  8. One in their own country.

  9. i am not sure but i wish you well, as i have a few friends in this same postion - its not easy to do this anywhere sadly...

  10. Baghdad,  why don't you go there.

  11. Baja California

  12. Not New Jersey.
