What state is this area code from?

My grandma saw this lady while at this Catholic convention in Missouri, and knows my dad, so she asked my grandma to give my dad this number, which has 820 as the area code. My family didn't go to Missouri, so we weren't there.. My grandma said that she was super excited to have finally found my dad, so she must be some childhood friend or something. My dad called, and the number doesn't work, but now he just wants to know what state the number is from. I've tried googling, and looking it up online, but there has been nothing so far...any ideas?

I searched for 1-820 and it doesn't exist, but I found a 1-309-820 and it's from Bloomington, Indiana.

There is no 820 area code. I checked for USA and Canada and it doesn't exist.

802 is vermont. there is no 820 area code.  she probably just transposed the number.

You can just type in Area codes on your search engine.  No problem. it will come right up with a dozen sites to show you area codes.
