What state is your favorite?

What state do you love, and why? Mine personally is California, first of all it's my home, and it's beautiful. It has more sun then most, and gives you opportunities to go out. I love rain but not all the time =)

Vermont it has big mountains surrounding beautiful valleys it was my favorite soccer tournament trip.

TEXAS..we have just about everything, and it's been my family's home for eight generations now.  I love to travel, and have seen many beautiful states, but nothing beats the feeling of coming home again.

For those out there who've only been through West Texas and think that "Texas is all desert", explore further!!  Yes, the western part of the state is a bit arid, but we also have the Panhandle Plains, the prairies with it's hundreds of lakes, the East Texas piney woods, the gulf coast, the mountains in West Texas, and three of the top ten largest cities in the United States (Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth).

Yes, other states have my admiration for scenic beauty (top five being Colorado, Montana, Utah, Wyoming and West Virginia, not necessarily in that order), but Texas has my love!

I try not to choose one state over the other; it would make the other ones feel bad :( Just kidding. I like my home state of Indiana. It's pleasant outside and one thing you notice in the summer is our locusts sing in more than one pitch. It's not a monotone :P

North Carolina all the way!

you get 4 seasons, but the winters are mild

you get history and a lot of it

you get mountains, rivers, lakes and the ocean in a relatively small area (smaller than California)

the accent of the locals is great

nice relaxing laid back feel

everything is green~no desert there
