Have you really asked yourself WHY you want a wolf dog?  And WHY they're illegal, or laws pertain to the ownership of w/d's, in most states?

This link above will, if you allow it, educate you further - which I firmly suggest you do before considering purchasing one of these dogs.

This was not written by owners who have failed at having wolf dogs in their home, it is written by those who have been successful at maintaining a happy, healthy wolf dog due to educating themselves FIRST.

I'm not trying to be mean or judmental, I'm just stating the truth.  I've been involved in wolf/wolf dog ownership, rescue, training, educating, rehabilitation and field studies for 22 years.  This is not new to me, and my opinion is biased due to my vast experience.

  5. While certain states allow it, the local city ordinances may NOT, you need to call your city clerk and ask (they have the ordinances there).  Some local vets may know, but you should go to the source and check the ordinances too.

Remember that your homeowners or renters insurance may be dropped if the company you're with has the hybrids on a proscribed list--you need to check with them before you get the dog or you'll be up a creek without a paddle trying to get new insurance.

  6. Don't know, or care, where it's legal - but it is STUPID in any state.

Woves are not dogs, they are never domesticated.

Stop being so dim, most wolves or wolf/hybrids end up being put down because their owners can't deal with them eventually - why would you be so cruel and selfish as to set another wolf up for euthanasia.

Get a dog - on second thought, get a gerbil.
