What statistical formula will i use to solve likert scale items?

i used likert scale ranging from 1( strongly disagree) - 5( strongly agree) in my survey for my thesis. what statistical treatment will i use? pls help>..tnx

You have ordinal level data, which many treat as interval.....so you can use ANOVA, etc...some of the more powerful statistics.   You can describe your data with descriptive statistics, mean, mode, range, etc....median.  It you data isn't terribly skewed then further analysis is more meaningful.  Run it by your advisor before you spend computer time!  (college prof)
