It's a 98 Tahoe. Just wondering what I would do. Or if I can get a trade in price. Any help is appreciated.

  1. look up the value on www.nadaguides.com

WARNING - with the economy the way it is I can guarantee you that the dealership will offer barely more than 1/2 of what the NadaGuides say it's worth cause no one wants a gas-guzzling SUV anymore

but if you're just wanting to get rid of it anything they give you will be good as a down payment on a new car

make sure you clean every nook and cranny both inside and out (if you take a dirty car to trade they'll assume you also didn't bother to maintain it so they'll give you even less)

  2. just take it to a dealership and tell them you want to trade it in and how much you would get for it

  3. Look on Autotrader.com  enter your vehicle information and your zip code. take an average of the retail asking price and subtract about $2500.00 That should give you a relatively good estimate of what you may receive at the dealer. Make sure that your vehicle is as clean as you can get it ...inside and out.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
