Question:

What steps do I take to move from the USA to Ireland?

My wife and I are wanting to get out of the United States of America within the next 5 to 10 years. What steps would we have to take to start heading in that direction. I know it will cost a great deal of money to just pick up, leave and start all over. But at the rate the US is going, we have decided to move to a country from her heritage. Any help about this would be great. Thanks.

  1. If you have children who will be 12+ when you arrive in Ireland you should put their name down for secondary schools as places are limited.

Apply for permanent residence in Ireland.

Basically research the areas, choose where you want to go, see what the property market is like, get a job there.

Hope the move will go well for you!

  2. You should check the "Move To Ireland" website.
