I'm an American in my 30's and would like to work and study in England. What are the steps I need to take to make this happen? What things should I avoid in doing this, and will it be difficult?

  1. to be honest it would be quite difficult. you will have to apply for univ, good thing is since your records are in english as well, it might acelerate the process.

then hopefully one of the school might accept you and you will go there, find a flat and study.

It would be extremely difficult to find a job whilist studying there, my mate could not find one himself and went back to yank land when he got his degree.

studying is much easier than working.

  2. First of all you need to pass your exam and get the right grades to apply for a place at a college in UK.

If accepted you will need to apply for a student visa.

If Visa is granted and you have the funds to pay for the college fees and living expenses only then you will be allowed in UK.

I think the cost are very high for overseas students.

check with the British Embassy and college for more details.
