ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS TEACHERS TOLD HER CLASS TO BE CAREFUL IF THEY WALKED HOME BECAUSE THE IS A PARTICULAR CAR GOING AROUND THE SCHOOL. MY QUESTION IS WHAT ACTIONS SHOULD THE PRINCIPAL DO? even if she says that she contacted police and they supposily told her that it was nothing to worry about. Should the principal send out a flyer to the parents or something like that?

  1. I would say yes. The paernts should be notified as to what kind of car it is etc.

  2. If the children have been alerted then common sense would dictate that at least half of those children would discuss it with their parents who would more than likely wind up discussing it with friend's and neighbors who also have children in the same school.  IF you want to keep abreast of what is going on in your child's school then you should start attending the schoolboard meetings that way if you want flyers sent home you can voice your opinion.  That's what those meetings are for.

  3. That would be a good idea.  Most schools these days would do that, I think.

  4. Well that's a tricky situation b/c what if the car is one of the parents.  What if they are trying to keep things secret so the police can keep an eye on it without that person getting alerted to the situation.

  5. The police officer that told her that is wrong, go back to the police station and talk to some one senior and with brains get them to increase patrols around the school make them listen to the real concerns of the parents and teachers, flyers will only panic and may caurse people to take the law into there own hands or worst stuff up a police investigation that is happening in secret

  6. i think the principal should call the cops. I mean if it is suspicious enough to notice that it is an everyday occurrence. you wouldn't want your kids getting hurt

  7. Yes all parents should be notified in some way.Or the whole school should have an assembly to address the issue.
