What steps should be taken against global warming?

There has been an out of season rain in my city. I hold global warming responsible for that. What preventive steps can be taken to check global warming?

The same steps we should take anyway for economic reasons. Replace expensive fossil fuels with renewable fuel sources, reduce our energy footprint to save money, reduce family size by bringing industrialization to third world nations.

first-save energy...saving energy will surely do the trick coz energy wasted in the form of heat builds up the temp and the hot waves move slowly towards the north n south poles and start melting the ice...just few days ago an ice shelf from the pole melted away...it was there for over hundred years!!!

then we should all switch off unnecessary lights and other power consuming devices when not in use

you can help in many ways. one can avoid packed food, because lots of fuel for its processing, transportation, refregaration etc. you can avoid (if you are using ) use of plastic bags. again carry ur own water bag.. don't but it from outside.. etc

try to keep the things in there original form as they occur in nature.. if we try to handle in the we like,  energy is required. which will cause global warming.
