  1. Nothing. Going to India is not for the faint of heart. It is a unique learning experience. Once you visit India, you will never be cheated again, and saying no to people becomes much easier.

  2. many indian tourist spots .. locals bully tourists. the officials help the locals and they work like a nexus.. so leave the foreign tourists even outstation tourists feel unsafe in india ...

lot of indian couples feel india is not safe for young couples so they go on honeymooning in malasya and bangkok..avoid indain locations.. so do a campaign ensuring the safety of tourists and ensure they are parcticed.. strict action against all who create nuisance , cull them...

  3. My Friend, in my opinion the government of India should take steps to ensure that the Indian men learn to respect the dignity and privacy of women and girls and ensure that they are not viewed as s*x objects. I believe that the condition of Indian female is no better than a female tourist. The indian working woman has to bear the brunt of voyeuristic gazes by men, lewd gestures, bottom -pinching, back slapping,  purposeful whistles, and obscene comments not only at work places but also while they are commuting between their office and their home. Serious reforms should be made at constitutional level levying capital punishment to molestors, eve teasers and rapists alike. Untill this is done, the Indian female no longer seems safe and if the Indian female is not safe , that speaks a lot about the dangers and threats to female tourists. All these s*x offenders and male chauvinists should be brought to book in a manner that will serve as a detterent to all those males out there who are waiting for an opportunity to outrage the modesty of any female irrespective of caste, country or creed. I also suggest that there should be a serious ban on PORNOGRAPHIC films, magazines and adult content that is coming to every indian home in some way or the other, either through HINDI FILMS LIKE MURDER, or raunchy videos of likes of BIPASHA BASU, RAKHI SAWANT and also these DANCE NITES should be banned because a lot of molestation cases were inspired directly outside dance halls where top female celebraties were doing raunchy dances in skimpy clothes raising the LIBIDO of the perverted Indian male to abnormal levels.

  4. all tourists spots are manged by Govts and pimps and place of deep suck.

indian tourists spots are not for feeble hearts

I have never visited any tourists spot for the last 25 years

  5. goverenment can take help of some volanter people 4 this work . now the question is who r they so its simple that in our india there r so many peoples who want to make india's reputation on world screen & some other people like who want 2 save our heritage. these could be students, teens etc.but there is a another question that money, everybody needs &wants money so if it is possible 4 government 2 pay them then i think that it works.another way that through advertisment we can find those people who interested in it from all india collect all these information & start a corner on incredible india's site which gives information  of people who r related this area in different regionsin india  they can help tourists. & 4 pay of volanters a system can be used that through site they get a no.[tourist gets]  if any volanter help them then tourist gave them that no. & person gave this no. to a resposable person through mobile telephone or e-mail. i hope it will works.

  6. government should open tourist help centre

  7. www.incredibleindia.org

  8. handover a complimentary packet of mirchi powder and pepper powder at airport for all tourist !!

  9. I know what you are asking.. Yes recently and historically Indian status as a developing country is damping tourists who visit it.. But a fair democratic system did provide justice in past if tourists were murdered or cheated. I dont say India is too safe to visit. But i can say it is better than many western countries in terms of safety... Probably no one mugs you on street to take all your money...or do they have a hand gun to shoot you...

  10. All offences against tourists should be tried in a summary manner in a Fast Track Court with exemplary punishment, and no political interference in the process.  It is only a message of zero tolerance that will curb crimes against tourists.

  11. some of the problems faced by the tourists ae not unique to India and faced all over the World, including indians wheter inside or outside the country. however, the personnel connected with tourist agencyshud be made to follow a strict code of conduct and the tourists on ter entry in te country be properly briefed an helpline and phoe nos be provided to the to ask help i case of need. the tourists shud refrain from travelling in interiors unless they already know the place unless accompanied by kowledgeable persons or recognized guides.  it will be best to visit only important citiies and places of tourist imortance suggested by govt.

  12. They should include more schemes like Athithi Devo Bhava.

  13. Government cannot depute a cop behind every tourist. It is for the tourists to behave themselves and act according to the situations. They should not roam around alone in the night times to prevent themselves from any untoward incidents that may happen to them. Last but not the least "Prevention is better than cure"

  14. The government must protect the human rights of women.

As a western woman living in India, I don't feel safe. Indian men and women have a distorted view of western women.

Two Californian tourists were grossly sexually harassed in Mumbai on New Year's Day. These women were with their husbands, yet, that did not stop a mob of sexually repressed men from attacking them.

Before the government can ensure safety for tourists, they have to ensure the safety of their own women and men. That means that attitudes have to change. It is not a simple solution
