Sorry to nitpick...but Julia Roberts cannot be held responsible/given credit for anything you suggest...she merely PLAYED the roles...it was writers and directors that created them.

What SHE has done, however, is to open up the 'earnings door' for women - being the first to earn $20 million for a single movie.  And I think, all in all, that is more important for the women's movement than any character she could play...
