  1. If all you do is play video games, yes to both and add "loser" to the mix.    Get out and live life instead! Chase a girl (or a boy), walk your dog, organize a neighborhood clean-up.  If you want violence, get involved in some real violence! Spend your video game money on a karate class, or football if your young enough.    Quit being a punk bi1ch

  2. You would also have to think your better than everyone else because you know more about Tekken 3.

Having long hair, acne, and possibly being overweight could be on the list of stereotypes.

  3. Yeah, you'd get all the usual stereotypes, but the best thing to do if you are a gamer is to make sure you don't fit the type.

So what you could do is get your hair cut, use acne cream....even better, go for facials!  Open your bedroom curtains (and window!) now and again, practice very good personal hygeine and cook meals for the family once in a while whilst being entertaining and amusing at the same time.  If you are a guy you could also consider a s*x change  (less women play games!) :D   - although this should definitely be your trump card for if all else fails ;)

I'm a mother of two who's well past the average gamer's age and I play MMOs so I don't think I fit the gaming stereotype.  I quite like telling people what my hobby is, because they're usually fairly surprised and I like to think I'm doing my bit for demolishing the stereotype!

  4. Lazy, nerd, geek, bum, the list is endless. But I have to say that it beats roaming the streets at night smashing mail boxes, breaking into cars, drinking, doing drugs, fighting, destroying public and private property.

A kid down the street use to give my son c**p for playing games. But my son also works while this kid did not. The neighbor boy is serving time in a juvenile facility for 3 more years while my son is free and avoiding trouble. My son plays video games maybe 1 1/2 hours per day if that. My other son draws a lot and if he gets around to it plays video games.

People can call you all the names they want. But it makes you wonder what they define as "cool." The first response has a good idea about neighborhood clean up.

Mow a few lawns, split some firewood, just as long as you're not plugged into the game all the time.

  5. Well, lots of people play video games....but if you were to play them all day every day and not be social then yes, I'd say lazy. Spoiled? Eh....no. But it could work to the effect that you're spoiled so you can sit home and play games all day instead of working...Reclusive is another word that comes to mind. Weird. Nerd.
