  1. I love my 1034D!  :)

    What I do is serge the edge to neaten it and then use a double needle in the sewing machine to imitate the cover stitch.  I don't do enough of this to pay the extra for a cover stitch machine, and this works well with a little practice.  Just be very careful not to stretch the fabric as you go!  As you sew it from the OUTSIDE, I usually find it helpful to baste the hem in place: this gives you a line to follow and also stops the knit fabric stretching as you sew it.


  2. If your serger can not sew a flat stitch then you will have to finish the edge with your serger then hem it by hand if you don't have a regular sewing machine
